Bang-Up Betty is more than jewelry. My passion is creating tiny, wearable sculptures that fuse nature, history and science into meaningful pieces that tell stories. Each piece that I make is a meditation—a communion with the details and peculiarities of the subject I am studying. It is a spiritual experience for me to slow down and look at things in the natural world under a microscope, and it is the same for people who appreciate and wear my jewelry. They are people who want to walk through life slowly and see everything around them, who are hungry for knowledge and stories and want to carry meaning with them everywhere they go.
