Last spring, I was taking a slow stroll through an idyllic garden that had been dampened by an afternoon rain shower. The air was crisp, the soil cool under my feet. A few months ago, I was at the fantastic Round Top Antiques Show in Texas where I spotted this exquisite, faded gnome statue with a red hat:

I knew immediately that my father-in-law would love it, so I snatched it up for his Father’s Day gift.
