I carved the birdhouse pendant by hand, carefully studying the actual birdhouse I was given and adding all the little details, like woodgrain and corrugated roof. I made the smallest birds I've ever sculpted, one baby bird with its mouth wide open, and one mother bird perched at the roof's peak. The gold-colored birdhouse necklace is a solid bronze pendant on a 14k gold-filled paperclip chain that may be worn from 18 to 20 inches in length (it has a built-in extender).
